I too am near enough to walk to a station but far enough away to not be on top of it for noise, traffic problems. I think it will have a very nice impact on my property value.


Maybe, but enjoy the construction noise and dust in the meantime. I don't live very near the trail either but I can hear the construction now. It still hasn't knocked off for the night. They're busy ripping all the trees down. Hogan is an autocrat and anti-environmental governor.

Exactly. There only so many cars that fit on roads why is why public transport is essential.

The rage against the purple line is from Bethesda residents who are freaking out because there’s now a line that connects PG county to Bethesda. They I used every trick of NIMBYism and still didn’t get thier way. Wahhhhhhhhh!

Driverless cars will still clog the roads. they will just clog them more efficiently during certain times. They will also exacerbate suburban sprawl, which is a shame. We need our agrarian areas.

I don't think it will affect them that much. Different demographics. Initially the demographics that will use driverless cars will be more affluent citizens who probably don't use public transportation that much. It will take some time for driverless cars to become bourgeoisie or working class, the two classes that use public transportation the most.

Most criminals consider themselves too good to ride the bus, but will ride rail because its more cool. And the ride quality is better.
