OP, if you're anywhere near Rockville/North Bethesda, Dr. Miriam Bloom is good. I don't think we had to wait too long to see her, maybe a couple weeks. She doesn't take insurance, though. And you should find someone quick because the start of the school year is when a lot of this comes up, so the appt books will fill up!

And definitely give the teacher a heads up about the situation if you haven't already.
