I probably misread this, but it sounds like he’s your aunt’s husband‘s sisters son. I don’t see any problem you’re not blood related at all.

I actually know someone whose dad got married and she had never met the new wife's kids until the wedding. They were all in 30s and 40s. She eventually marrried her dad's, wife's son. It sounds super creepy, but no blood relation and they met as adults.
