Oh please! It's not hard at all to find a guy roughly 25 to 35 with those qualities if that's what you truly want. There is usually other reasons a woman can't find that if that's what she's looking for. The biggest thing is not wanting to have to wait for a partner to be established. The 35 and under guys might have all those qualities but they are still in early stages of career, likely still paying off loans, not at senior level yet. She wanted someone established with the money NOW, not in 10 years time, nothing wrong with that, but let's not pretend that the only way to find a a polite gentleman is to date a senior citizen.

Know someone who married a woman 19 years his senior. 10 years and 3 kids later (1st kid at 40) they are still together. He's the much better looking and more accomplished one earning big bucks. No one thought the union would last, let alone have 3 kids. So strange things do happen.

Some guys that age can still bring it on. When I was in my early 30's I briefly dated the widowed father of a friend of mine (she never knew!) who was in his mid-60's. He was as good in bed as anyone I'd ever been with including my now DH. If he had been 25 years younger.........but we knew it wasn't right for either of us. He's now 75 and married to a woman in her early 60's. I'm willing to bet he can still perform as he's in great shape. I see him once or twice a year and we both share a smile.

45 year age gap? He would be considered an "older dad" if he had a child at 45.

They may well be a match made in heaven, but he won't get any younger and she will be young for a long time. He is healthy now, working, intellectually sharp, physically fit, but 80/85 is not far off and she will still only be 35. I guess she will have a second act to her life too.

Very interesting.

The age gap is pretty outrageous for so many reasons. But this is an intelligent, accomplished woman. Still creepy however.

I have a friend my age (mid-50s) who is pretty well-off. He married a much younger Chinese (born and raised in China) woman. She's nice and they seem very happy together.

My father was 25 yrs older than my mother, who was his third wife. They were married for over 30 yrs, until he passed at age 85. She still talks about him daily, even though she's been with someone else for 10 yrs now.

It's not always about the age difference.
