and LBC is not a good team.

That LBC team is pretty good, won a few tournaments last summer.

Anyway, anyone know if, and if so which ones, the Madlax girls teams are playing in Fall tournaments?

2023s are playing in Hagerstown this weekend.

Sounds like thats the one year that they manage to roster a full team. There were more 2023s trying out for various clubs this year than any other age group I hear. Wonder if this team has any real potential. Cant wait to hear how they do.

I don't know. The 2021 who we know ended up going to Crash. We do know some of the 2022s from DD's rec league team, and while one of them is a good athlete none of those girls could play for Stars, Cardinal, VA Metro, or probably even the Pride B team.

Any updates in the 2020/21 team? We are considering a move from A team of another club for DD who is a strong player. Not going to get into details why but we are talking to MadLax. If the other girls are as weak as described I’m going to discourage DD.

They appear to already have a mixed 20/21 team and still cant fill the roster.

What club was the girl cut from. Weird to get cut at highschool age with no heads up.

Cardinal. I think there was an influx of several "graduating" from Pride. Some chatter about Pride maybe extending on to HS starting with the 23s.

Oh. So a rising 9th grader. That does make sense. The tryouts the year before freshman year is the most intense. Every kid going in should know they have the potential to get cut. It stinks when it happens, especially from a long time club but, it happens and its usually for a pretty solid reason (from a coaching perspective). Im sorry her only option was Madlax.

And yes, Pride has told players they are thinking about expanding into high school starting with the 2023s. So few Pride girls make Capital most years (approx. 5) that they need another strong option for the girls who come up through Pride but aren't good enough for Capital.

No surprise that they are short on their rosters but I am guessing it is by far more than 3 girls. My DD has a friend who joined and she is regreting it terribly. She had another option but was convinced by the very selfish owner that he could make this work for her. First "practice" was enough for her to see what a disaster this program is going to be. Most gir;ls there couldnt even catch or throw with any accuracy.

Rosters for the girls' team still aren't up (has said will be posted soon for weeks). Only girls club that doesn't have team rosters up in area. They have held first practices and I hear its bad - not even close to club team level
