The school has cut back dramatically on expeditionary learning. The majority of time is spent helping below grade average students in math and reading.

I revived this post because we need to make a choice between lamb and mundo. As current lamb parents I know what safeguards are in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again and am comfortable with that. I haven’t actually asked Mundo that question, so thanks for bringing that up. Other than that i don’t care to discuss lanb’s current lawsuits.

My concerns relate to academics. I’ve heard from many parents that Mundo could be stronger. Is this accurate?

And not like penn state because once it was public it ended - LAMB it is now public and the school has done nothing to make sure it stays stopped.

Not really. DC residents paid for LAMB's insurance policy, which will pay for the lawsuits.

LAMB has nothing in place to prevent a pedophile from preying on kids again. There is no leadership there.

I'm shocked and disgusted how many parents would consider LAMB in any capacity. it wasn't that it happened once and he was removed immediately.

Its no different than what happened at Penn State except DC residents get to pay for the lawsuits.

Look, there is a lot of BS on this site, and plenty[i][b] to fault the LAMB board for, but NO evidence they knew about Fernandez. The continued reports were kept from them as far as anyone has ever acknowledged. Do you have other info?


Yes. But it may not have been the whole board.

From talking to parents at LAMB it seemed like there Board was out to lunch and only removed key leadership after extreme pressure was applied. Maybe now they will more active going forward. I agree MV Board is MIA so not sure either school is great on that front. Honestly if you want active oversight of school leadership, you need a public school where there is a central office and bureaucracy (which of course has its own downsides).

We have many children, none in PK3.

Mundo would be the easier commute since Lamb is moving or not moving.
