We pay about $100/month for high-speed internet and streaming services. We don't have a landline or cable, and mobile device service is another $100 that is reimbursed by our employers.

I have my own box I bought to put the cable card in, so I don't have to rent theirs.

Has anyone tried the Comcast mobile service yet? I ran the numbers and it looks like this may be a good deal (if you have already have their service), thoughts?

around $150, also Fios, two boxes, one basic and that includes HBO. No home phone.

We run everything off of our home network (maybe 15 devices?) so 25mbps wouldn't cut it for us. 50 is what we have and would love more. But if 25 mbps works for you, no need to pay for more.

Yes, it is an introductory offer. When they install the wi-fi be sure to run a speed test (speedtest.net) and check your wi-fi speed. You should be getting at least 25 mb/sec if not call and tell them that's what you are paying for and they will walk you through fixing it- or better yet have the tech fix it while he is in your house.

Periodically check your speed, we have even had them reimburse us it it isn't running close to 25. Trust me you can stream Netfix at that speed, if you can't then you can upgrade. We always sign up for the lowest speed then agree to up it if its too slow, it never is.

I've had it numerous times. It's the introductory 2 year rate from Comcast or Cox. Also, the internet companies lie about what speed you need to stream TV. I've had even 25mbps and it was enough to stream Netflix and HBO.

The problem is that Comcast keeps lowering my streaming speeds, but I check and they aren't giving me the speeds I pay for, so I fight it.

Too much. But it's DH's only vice at this point, so I suck it up and deal.

$230 for Cox cable and Internet. I would ditch cable and do HBO Go, Netflix, Hulu, and AP, but my husband has to have EPL. And there is no way that I am aware of to get EPL without paying through the nose for the sports tier package.
