THERE IS NO CAT. They will take your money and you will never hear from them again. Don't get a pet off of Craigslist. Go through one of the dozens of reputable animal rescue groups in our area. They have tons of cats and will help you find one that works for your family.

I'm assuming it hasn't changed, but years ago you were supposed to request a fee for a pet, otherwise free dogs and cats were supposedly being taken for animal experiments or something.


Yes.
This was true.

Just giving away animals on CL made it much easier for people to just pose as loving animal lovers who in reality would use the animal in question for cruel animal experiments.
