Dan Phillips was the AP under Jesse Kraft. Dan is great as principal. Very responsive, always visiting classrooms etc. I have also seen him in disciplinarian mode and he is no push over. Janice Suite is the lower grades AP. She's doesn't come across as warm and fuzzy as Dan but I still like her a lot. She is also always visiting classrooms, responsive to emails etc. There will be a new AP in the fall since Harry Belch is retiring.
That's great to hear. I hope he's there for a long, successful run as well. It seems like continuity with good admin is a huge factor in a school's performance.
That makes me feel better because one thing I didn't like about Providence is that it doesn't seem as much of a "neighborhood" school due to its boundaries and location, as opposed to FFX Villa or Daniels Run. My house is actually closer to those to other two schools than Providence. That was just my impression, though. I don't have first-hand experience with the school.
It is definitely a neighborhood school. There are a huge number of walkers. We live in Fairchester Woods and my kids are always pointing out who lives where when we ride our bikes around the neighborhood. It is the same in Mosby Woods. I can drive through there and point out many of my kids' friends' homes.

She had a great experience at Lanier for the past two years. I was impressed with the school. My kid has some issues - ADHD, LGBT, Gender non conforming. The school was really supportive and responsive and she was very successful there.
