What do you expect from a network founded by Ted Turner?

Ted Turner, the extreme leftist?

I'm curious -- do you also consider NPR to be "extreme left"?

DP. I listen mostly to NPR. Of course it's mostly far left.

If NPR is "far left", that's only because you've cut off almost the entire left end of the political spectrum. The station my 80-something-year-old parents rely on for news is not "far left". It's middle-of-the-road, moderate liberal.

Anyone who thinks that NPR is "middle-of-the-road, moderate liberal" is probably disappointed that s/he isn't in Hamburg right now to enjoy the marches, but takes satisfaction in knowing that nonetheless s/he is still part of the resistance because of the kick-ass anti-Trump tweet s/he sent out to her/his #followers. So do your parents rely on NPR for news just to get a quick thrill when Woodstock or George McGovern gets mentioned on All Things Considered?

As opposed to who - Breitbart, Daily Caller and the rest of conservative media which showed its true colors during the 8 years of Obama's presidency as being vastly more biased and dishonest than the so-called "fake" mainstream media?

Off your meds? Of course Breitbart, Daily Caller, etc. are right-wing media. They label themselves as such, quite proudly, and in that sense quite honestly. You go onto those sites knowing that, much like someone would go to the HuffPo, Slate, or the Daily Kos.

My point was about the loss of middle-of-the-road, straight-shooting, neutral media. CNN, Fox, NY Times, all "serious", but all horribly biased, and those biases bring them to the same level of Daily Caller and Daily Kos. The Washington Post has become unreadable.

Where do I go for one-stop, honest news?

I wouldn't generalize from one tweet by one guy who works for one cable news organization to "journalism in the liberal media these days".

Just as I wouldn't generalize from one tweet by one guy who is president of one country to "presidential behavior in the world these days".

I wasn't generalizing by one tweet from the CNN guy. CNN is ridiculous these days.

It's pretty generally accepted that part of how Trump won is because CNN gave him SO MUCH AIRTIME. They'd cover his opening of an envelope. They gave him coverage for EVERY WORD HE SAID. It's pretty rich for you Trump supporters to come back and complain how mean CNN is after that. Unless, as I suspect, this is just part of your show - fake villains, rigged up fights, blah blah blah.

CNN isn't liberal media

A lot of reporters and others on both sides dislike Clizza and think he's a dumb, hacky writer

That clip is frigging hilarious

Yes, the point was not that the she was avoiding Trump, it was that he assumed that he would be the main attraction wherever he is.

Maybe if he thinks he says it enough, people will think it is true. That was Obama’s strategy.

Anonymous wrote:When will they learn? He posts a 2 second clip of the Polish First Lady going to shake Melania's hand first. If he'd shown it as a 6 second clip, it would be seen that she then turned to Trump and shook his hand. This makes both him and CNN looks so stupid and petty. And that caption? Is he a 12 year old girl? I scrolled through the replies to his tweet and one after another was mocking his tweet and CNN.

Can they just not help themselves? That sounds a lot like what people say about Trump.

The caption was pretty lame but I disagree with you that he needed to show a 6-second clip. It's pretty obvious that the Polish first lady would go shake his hand next. The part that makes it funny is Trump's expectation that she'll greet HIM first, and his flabbergastedness that she didn't. The clip shows that part successfully.

OK. I think that the president of the US is ridiculous these days.

Yeah, I can't stand him personally, either. But I like his policies better than Hillary's, so I went there. Mainly illegal immigration, THE SCOTUS, and corporate tax rates, in that order.
