Boy? Lucia is a girl name with the feminine ending -ia. The corresponding boy's name is Lucio.

That said, I have known 3, of different generations (one is a senior, one is a teenager and one is toddler/infant). All were LOO-shya (pretty close to the LOO-sha mentioned above, but a definite 'y' in the middle).

People from Spain would actually pronounce it "Lu-thee-ah." Spanish lisp.

People from South/Central America who speak Spanish would say "Lu-see-ah"

I grew up in the northeast with a friend name Lucia- Lu-chi-ah her mom was first generation Italian.
In my 30's I moved to the south and met 2 people named Lucia- Lou-sha.
had not heard the Lu-see-uh pronunciation until today.

They all sound pretty.
