Why not do Timothy J-Middle Name, and just call him by his middle name? Jimothy is just - no.

As a third kid with an M name, when my two older siblings have C names, I can report that I never felt left out for this at all.

Your kids will share a home for, what, 14 years tops? They'll share schools for even less of that time. Name your child something you WANT to name them, not something that "matches" your other kids.

You should hang out with my DH. He was stuck on the nickname Tris, and when I nixed Tristan, he suggested Tristopher.

Also, Junior itself is a standalone name. You could name him that.

Every time the topic of coordinating sibling names comes up I feel the need to chime in. These babies will grow up and become autonomous adults who will not reside in their sibling orbit for all time. You do not need to coordinate your kids names into some cursor pattern. If you want to do it, fine, but please realize this is not necessary and will likely have no impact on your family dynamic or enjoyment of each other.

If you're not kidding, note that "junior" starts with "j." So DS won't feel left out of the "j" party.

Not sure if real, but you cannot name your son Jimothy. The simplest reason is because it's stupid.

Even in the midwest ( I"m from the midwest) it's stupid.

Your son's special thing will be that he's named after Dad.

No, don't use it as a nickname. Either Jim or Tim. Jimothy is not a nickname any more than Timothy is one.
