At first you said that they had done something really rude. That implied that you had not talked to them about it. Then you say that you had talked to them and they admitted that it was really rude. Our advice would depend upon what happened. I was in a similar situation years ago. Had it been one incident, I would have let it go. But it was an ongoing thing. I let my friends know that I had nothing against their inviting whomever they wanted. But if this person was going to be there, I couldn't come. But if this was just a single incident and they have acknowledged it, it must be pretty horrible. We need more info.

Ditto. Next door neighbors were our best friends until a queen bee moved in and sabotaged our relationship. After that it was too painful to endure. We moved.

You have serious issues if this is what caused you to move.

Too many people make the neighbor friend mistake. Wouldn't hurt to get another circle of friends either OUTSIDE the neighborhood!
