I mean outside of New England and particularly the CT,MA,RI corridor , who can genuinely say they have a connection to it? Hell even in New England you'd be hard pressed to find a whole lot of people walking around in Vineyard vines, TuckerNuck, or Lilly Pulitzer . These brands have made their names by dressing people who are desperate to look and feel like people they never were .

Diversity has always been a big thing for academia , especially on the east coast . Try not to keep your head buried in obscurity for long

It's amusing to say the least to see people push their snowflakes through overpriced preppy high schools and colleges , only to have them end up in cubicles like everybody else . Provided they can actually hold down jobs

Ah, PaleoConPrep. You've been quiet, and the parents out here have missed hearing from you. Any update about your plans?

Headed to St. John's College in Annapolis this fall.

Congrats!

I hope you have a great experience there. I have a couple of Johnnies as friends and they loved it.

at this dude. such a wannabe and obvious poser.

All the above brands are vomit inducing.

I know prep school kids love Lilly but that's vomit inducing too.

All style, no substance. (And the style sucks).

At least if you're gonna go prep, get the quality stuff - Barbour, Brooks Brothers, the higher end Ralph Lauren, Eddie Bauer, Lacoste..

If you wear Barbout outside a horse venue, my family will roast you.

Then your family is putting way to much thought into how others dress.
