OP here. Thanks. We don't drink or go to bars as a couple because DH doesn't drink (I go to a bar with friends or my mom maybe 3-4 times a year). I just like going to museums, movies, theater, dinner etc. with DH.
That's great. If we lived in D.C. I would want to go out more. We live in a boring college town now. There's no where I really want to go. I see my friends at the mosque every Friday afternoon and we have a dinner party every Monday evening. There are 5 or so families and we take turns hosting.
It sounds like you're only socializing with Muslim people, is that right? Why would you be so insular? I mean, I'm jewish and certainly don't only hang out with jewish people.
Because there are no Jews in America who are insular with who they hang out with.
