Isn't hipster the opposite of preppy?

I would say Williams, Brown, maybe Duke.
Disagree. When I visited St. John's, I saw a lot of guys in coat & tie. I asked a lot of students there where they went to high school, and several attended northeastern private day/boarding schools that use the Harkness method. Most kids are hipsters, but there are a good number of preps at SJC. I'm quite preppy, but I certainly wouldn't call myself a Bohemian.( I don't think you can be a Far-Right Bohemian) At the same time, I'm not really a frat boy either. I despise modern fraternities because of the wreckless/hedonistic behavior of most frat boys. Do I fall into the "alternative" category? BTW, I did not start this thread.
Survivalist/homeschooling types?
