I don't understand the people here who tack on "get therapy" at every possible opportunity, you gave a very understandable background for a normal reaction, OP!

As a side note, I have an adult friend who is sick of adults not Rsvp'ing and I noticed that she started inviting people to things via texts. I'm not used to this for parties, so it still surprises me, but it's a way that she's trying to deal with people who will say things like, "I'm so bad with email."
