what are the circumstances around the lawsuit? I cannot imagine what type of injustice occured as to warrant litigation against a school. I suppose this is to be expected in an area where seemingly 2/3 of residents are lawyers.

My DC is in 4th G at Chesterbrook and came home yesterday talking about this. Any chance Mr. Fuqua can be supported into coming back? Parent Student rally of support?
Or is it already a lost cause?

For whatever is going on behind the scenes with these parents that caused Fuqua to leave a top Fairfax County E. School on short notice it certainly is worthy of more investigation instead of all this gossip and speculation spreading this week.

Hey, whoever you are, just an FYI that shouting in ALL CAPS doesn't make your opinion/conclusion worth more ... just makes you seem unhinged. No one needs to name the two families involved, it is common knowledge and all one need do is ask a fellow parent in the parking lot or bus stop. Information like that does not remain secret very long, so it is immaterial whether anyone wants to post it here, which personally does not bother me if they did.

just checked the faqs and the pp is full of it - there is no dcum policy against naming plaintiffs in a lawsuit.
jeff s. has indicated in prior posts that naming private individuals may be basically not cool if you are not willing to name yourself when you identify them, but there is no policy

especially in this case where we are talking about parents (not the kids) who chose to make their parental gripes public by hiring a gun to sue the school, principal, and who knows who else. if they are willing to make these allegations in court and wreak havoc for an entire elementary school losing a beloved principal, then they own this one and should move if they don't like the publicity they are getting.

^^ if there truly is ongoing litigation, then the parents names will inevitably be made public. Suing a school district is not a private affair. Surprised local news outlets have not picked up on this yet . . .

Regardless of policy, please don't ask that. I truly hope no one responds. I'm enraged at these parents, as is 99% of the Chesterbrook community, but the children of these families should be spared.
