Not at ASA, but at U9 my son was on the "A" team at our club. U10 was dropped to B team. U11 and age group switch he went back to A team. Next year he is going onto a DA team. He did do supplemental training for the past two years and has worked really hard. I think the year that he dropped gave my son lots of confidence and made him work hard. The coach on the B team was outstanding. While hard in the beginning, it was good for him in the long run.

For girls maybe this is true.

However, as stated on the last 3 pages because of the creation of the DA teams for the U12-U14 age groups the red team (at least for 2006 and 2005) is now the former white team. The white team is now the former blue team, etc. The 2004s took mostly outside players for the DA team so their red team was t decimated like the 2005/2006 teams for next year.

Yes. In years past, it would not have happened. Now the red team and outside players go to the DA teams so the teams will all push up a color collectively on the boys side when your son hits U12.
