I do this all summer as I can get to a 5:45 core power class or go for a run before her kids wake. They are too old for gym childcare but not quite old enough where I want to leave them all alone for 90 min so I can work out.

The OP asks what time early exercisers awaken and go to sleep, as well as tips and tricks. From the PP's post, I get that having the whole household in bed at the same time and waking up at the same time makes it easier for her to work out early.

We wake up as a household at 6am and go to bed as a household around 10pm.

I go to bed between 10-12 am and wake up at 6:00 am every other day to work out at orange theory. We have a toddler who doesn't always sleep through the night. Orange thoery charges you if you don't show up. It gives me motivation to get up and attend class.

Agree with laying everything out. Or sleep in your workout clothes and have your shoes and socks right by your bed. I used to run at 4:30 every morning. I love exercising first thing, but some days it was hard! I remember running at 4:30 am in the middle of an ice storm. It was miserable. But once you establish the habit, you just do it. It takes about 30 days to establish a habit.
