What if family you rarely see in maryland was shopping in virginia and they never bother to stop by or say hi?

PP here. We live in a tourist area now (not DC anymore) and you wouldn't believe the amount of friends, family, and acquaintances who visit and don't tell us. It hurts. That's all on me, but please just be aware - and don't hurt people just because you can.

Don't email and tell someone you were a mike away but didn't get in touch. What message are you really wanting to send them? How is that information in any way a good thing?


It's not top secret info. Better to hear it directly from me than a mutual friend/acquaintance who happened to see me in town. It's nothing to hide or feel guilty about and the "friends" who would guilt trip their friends over something like this are not very friendly.
