I cannot stand the mainstream media. They hate us hardworking Americans. They don’t understand our problems. They do not speak for us.
The mainstream media needs to be ignored. We cannot allow them to divide us, or threaten us. They rely on these faulty polls to make decisions. Didn’t every poll get the 2016 presidential election wrong?
The media thinks they are so smart, but they are so detached from normal Americans. I’d like to see a journalist fix a roof or build a porch. I’d like to see one of these celebrities stare at a paycheck that has been sliced in half by ridiculous taxes.
These media thugs don’t understand working America. They think everything is easy and that we are the problem. They don’t understand how damaging Obamacare has been to our businesses.
Thankfully, we have Donald Trump as president. Trump understands the working man. Trump understands our struggles. We don’t need to rely on leftist lies anymore. The mainstream media hates this.
Stephen Colbert deserves to be Fired for saying this to President Trump, invite all you friends to sign the petition. We must collect 100,000 Signatures!

I'm not sure what you mean. If you set aside the Russia stuff, the objection to Trump is his temperament, his character. At 70 and a public figure, it is known. So is Hillary's. Obama's temperament and character were less well known, but enough of him was seen during his campaign to know him.
So - are you saying don't pay attention to their promises and words and actions? All that gets erased on the day they take office?
I don't really understand this thinking. Do you not elect someone because you like what they say they are going to do, and you feel that their background and character indicates an ability to carry out those plans?
I loathed what Trump said he was going to do. I thought his background and character indicated a moronic bigot who was able to fool other moronic bigots. So far, he seems to have carried all that out. Or at least to have tried to.

I actually do believe that we should respect the President because of the office and I think it was an off color remark.
But I also believe that comedians should be able to tell jokes about the President as they always have because that's kind of the essence of our country and something both sides faced.

Agree that Colbert's joke was inappropriate and disappointing. I was really surprised and also lost respect for him. But I didn't find it homophobic. I can imagine some of my lewder gay friends saying such a thing. But homophobic or not, I find the idea of Trump expecting personal respect from others laughable - especially when he has bragged about sexually assaulting women and getting away with it because he's a celebrity. Unless you are talking about hanging via lynching, no, he's not lucky that he wasn't arrested for what he said. We still live in the USA, and the First Amendment still offers broad protections to political speech.
I am disgusted by Trump on a daily basis, but I agree that Colbert's joke was vulgar...and it made me lose respect for him. But because it was unnecessarily lewd and homophobic, not because he criticized the President. I'm so glad I live in a country with the rule of law and protections for my freedoms. Why don't you feel the same?

I would love to respect Trump. I was prepared to do so, after he won the election and when he was inaugurated. I do respect the position of the presidency and I deeply hope that our next president, whoever it may be, respects office.
