That's only because the less academically inclined kids have left by then only the more academically inclined stick around until they get older.
Most of these places do a much better job of identifying academic talent than creating it.

The teachers at Sunshine are amazing. My kids loved it, and got 2-3 years ahead of their AAP classmates in English, Math, and Science from taking the courses.

Sunshine Academy is a great place for learning, and teaches advanced material. It is a great place to get ahead of classmates educationally. I really recommend it.

Does anyone have more questions about Sunshine Academy before registering and making payment?

Nice try. This is a popular trick parents use, to malign popular enrichment centers but secretly enroll their own kids. Aware of this, we have already enrolled both of our kids at the wonderful Sunshine.

These are the kind of parents that badmouth a Curie or Sunshine, and quitely go enroll their own child there. Let's hope they open more locations so that these sleazy parents don't get desperate and resort to these cheap tricks. Summer enrichment deamand is going through the roof.

Thanks for your review of Curie, but all classes are full. Don't come to Curie and complain how difficult the curriculum is. Go enroll in Kumon or better yet stay away from academic enrichment and enroll in gardening, sewing, cooking, etc., classes.

People are using these places so that their kids earn A’s in school more easily and improve their chances at top universities and scholarships. Their kids would probably earn A’s in the same classes during the school year but it would be a bit more work.

And yes, we do math competition classes and RSM/AoPS type classes because DS likes them. He started in those when the math in school was boring and they are the only way that math has stayed interesting for him. I have no problem with academic enrichment in order to keep DS interested in areas that he enjoys.

We prefer DS to have fun during the summer. He likes camps that teach robotics or coding or chemistry and other similar subjects. If other families want to send their kids to camps that pre-teach material, cool. I hope that their kids enjoy the summer as much as my kid does. We have friends who spend the summer at the pool and they think we are crazy. Every family and kid has their idea of how to spend the summer, do your thing and enjoy.

Another problem, these kids get used to learning most material before hand and at school they are able to do homework and tests easily. Who would not if you have already learnt the material?

Then when they encounter something new, they hit a brickwall. That is why these kids end up not doing well in certain "activities". And they have a tough time in college.
