Why do you assume that men like Dan exist only in the fly over states? My own father and his four brothers were Baltimore born and bred, but were just like Dan. I'm 46 and grew up in a family very similar to Roseanne's, again in Baltimore. Maybe the difference is that it became more evident to people on the coasts that manufacturing and mills were not long for this country and we've already moved on?
