I think it's funny she would assume you'd never tried Matzoh before-- It was always a springtime tradition (with butter, cinnamon and sugar) growing up and I am born-and-bred Episcopalian.


We had it sandwiched in a crusty baguette with ham and cheese!

huh. Maybe she was asking you about something in your culture that related then and was surprised to hear about eucharist! I'm not sure what she was expecting to hear, but I'm sure this had something to do with it. Sounds like you handled it juuuussssst fine.
