I'm not one of those people and don't live in Shepherd Park, but I actually think it's nicer than most WOTP neighborhoods.

Hehe some of the street names are funny. We were just renting for a couple years but loved it. Walked to metro and Safeway and ballet and karate classes, good restaurants, pool, community events for all the holidays. Tons of great playgrounds and lots of open green space. Best sense of community we have had anywhere in DC. Kids were outside playing with the neighbors under dinner time every night. It was idyllic!


No doubt 'bout all that. BUT, how was the commute?

Shady Grove station is across the street and if you don't want to walk, there are shuttle buses that take you to the station.

"Upper McLean" got started on DCUM after buyers started paying more attention to "Lower McLean," Falls Church and Arlington. It's an attempt to be relevant again.
