Similar situations have occurred at Beauvoir, GDS, Sidwell, Oyster, etc. LAMB is a fantastic school where one bad apple did a very bad thing. If anything, the situation makes me questions the MPD's investigative skills. However, I'm even willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. The problem with these predators is that they're very sneaky. Also, LAMB is doing a total review of its policies due to this incident. I'm sure that by next school year it will be one of the safest schools (just like flying on an airline after one of its planes crashed).
Emphasis added. The privilege these HRCS parents think they share with the upper middle classes is astonishing.

Thank you. I haven't had a spit out my coffee laugh at the internet in a long time.

I'm skeptical that anyone with a number in the 70s (or 60s) or above will get a spot. Thoughts?
I wouldn't hold my breath. Since they don't participate in My School DC the list doesn't get "cleaned" of students that prefer another school more and get matched there. It is hard to say how far they will go in their list, and the historical data isn't available like it is for MSDC schools.
i think 60s and 70s sounds right. The list can move fast if they hit a run of kids who decline or have left town. It's very hard to say, though.
+1. All you can do is wait though.

Anonymous wrote:Seriously? Only one K spot!?! Why did they even pretend to open up to 5 year old if they were only accepting one student! So upsetting to put hope into getting in when there wasn't even a slim chance in the first place.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes, those numbers were AFTER siblings had taken spots. They said there was one K spot reserved for a sibling (I didn't understand what that meant).
Maybe an older sibling of a younger lottery admit?
