Agree. I'm 48 with very, very little cellulite. I still don't have any on back of my legs---just a tiny bit near butt as I've aged. I've been on the Pill for decades.
I am thinking you should do a full thyroid panel. I had spotting around 41 like you non-stop. I had everything checked, TSH thyroid level was normal. I had pelvic ultrasound, etc. They just said it was perimenopause. I was not satisfied and demanded my GP run the full thyroid panel (regular physical just tests for TSH). Low and behold---I was right. I had anti-thyroid antibodies which indicated I have Hashimoto's. Hashimoto's causes all those symptoms--inability to lose weight/weight gain, irregular periods/spotting--even depression, high cholesterol, melasma, lethargy/tiredness.
