People seem to confuse being able to notice the planes and being impacted by it. There are plane over most of Arlington, close in McLean, West
Bethesda and the palisades/Georgetown and those just happen to be the most exspencive and desirable areas in the metro area. Would it be better without them sure but it isn't like there isn't noise in other areas.

I'm sure it doesn't bother you when you're sitting in the cockpit, but how about at 5:30 when several planes are flying at 2000 feet directly above your house, and pretty much continuing until midnight at 3 minute intervals?

I'm sure it doesn't bother you when you're sitting in the cockpit, but how about at 5:30 when several planes are flying at 2000 feet directly above your house, and pretty much continuing until midnight at 3 minute intervals?

Several in-demand Bethesda neighborhoods are near the flight path (Glen Echo, Canin John, GEH) and it doesn't seem to stop people from buying

I would probably try to avoid being on the main flight path if possible. Not easy in this area if you live anywhere near the river or DCA. That said, if I knowingly bought a home on the flight path, I wouldn't complain about it after. My big pet peeve is people who buy homes near airports and then complain about the noise.

I used to live on a Naval Air Station, so obviously planes all the time and we were very close to the airfield. Fighters and big transport planes. It really didn't bother us much.
