Montgomery County has a textile recycling bin at the Shady Grove location. I keep a bag in my laundry room and put old, stained clothes, etc in there. I bring to Shady Grove every few months.

If you have old cotton underwear, you can donate it to animal shelters to fashion bedding for animals.

If you have bras in good condition, consider donating them to "Support the Girls."

I think people are talking about kids' underwear that is quickly outgrown.

I believe the Planet Aid bins accept underwear, clothes with holes, etc for textile recycling.

Really, I'm curious about how many people have perfectly good underwear to donate? I wear mine till it is worn out, then I throw it out.

Bras are another story, given how expensive they are. If they still are in excellent condition (but no longer fit me) I'm happy to donate them.

I still wear it too.

If it's absolutely new or a bra that has not been worn much, I will donate. I have seen underwear for sale in local thrift stores.

Mostly my stuff gets thrown away or turned into rags.
