Rarely. Maybe once a quarter if that.

Same place you get checks with an address.

I had some printed up about five or ten years ago with just my name, no address. I think I've used less than one pack. I ordered them either mail order or on the internet. The bank would order you some too if you ask them.

If you purchase them from a separate check store (not the one referred by your bank), you can get anything you want printed on them. I belong to a national organization that uses ID numbers for regular participants. I've seen several people who participate who have their ID number printed on their checks. Some people put their phone number since so many people request phone numbers when you use a check. You can put your name and cell phone number on the check.

Horrible idea. Put as little info on the check as possible to guard against ID theft.

Then offer a discount. I like the two percent off I get using my credit card.

You do realize that that 2% is baked into the cost of everything you buy, right?

I write checks for preschool, daycare, and piano lessons. Occasionally I write a check for the odd thing at school like a field trip or something.

Interestingly, we use checks more than cash. We use it to pay all of the odds and ends stuff, like tutors, lawn care, etc. It's better than counting out cash.

Only for my rent.

I still pay my rent with a check, other than that just for the rare thing like an unexpected plumber, etc.

I write them every week -- for our childcare provider and our cleaning person.

Helps document payment to avoid any future wage dispute and shows we're paying on the books.

I just had to use a check to renew my passport. But that's probably the only thing I've had to use a check for recently. I'm just glad I found my checkbook!

Probably 75 percent of the checks I write are to our oldest child's elementary school - and the majority of the rest are to our younger child's preschool. We do pay bills by check as well too.
