This thread has gotten weird. I assume you are not coming from an ADW K-8, otherwise you'd know what to do and start talking to them first. Definitely have your kid write a letter. After your kids sends a letter, call admissions and let them know it is your daughter's (and your families first choice). If you are full pay, let them know.

None of the girls waitlisted from our K-8 parochial got in last year, even after writing letters.

I mean this nicely-find a school that truly wants your daughter as a student.
