No. ADHD is caused by a developmental difference in the brain. We don't need to speculate about this because there is actual science. There is also a strong genetics component to ADHD. Look back in your family tree way back before the prevalence of screens and you will likely find a history of "underachieving" and probably depression, anxiety, and substance abuse as well.
ADHD causes difficulties in regulating attention so highly stimulating things like screen will hold an ADHD persons attention very strongly.
