Its not like there is a gun problem or a knife problem, or a major drug dealing problem. THAT kind of gang doesn't get to MCPS or if it tried, it would be dissipated through expulsions, surely.

I lost count of the gang fights that occurred in front of my classroom door one year. so glad to be out of the classroom
The principal would never admit we had gang issues - even when we brought in an expert. So sad how innocent some folks are
Most members are quiet b/c they need to stay under the radar to recruit and sell drugs. But if something starts in their 'hoods, it ends up in the schools. It's all about turf wars.
