Omg I was just coming here to type this - literally exactly what you wrote. Spooky!

I love these, by the way.

Pepto makes (or used to) a chewable version. Are you sure your Grandma wasn't just feeding you chewable Pepto Bismol? :0

My Nana used to give us Lifesaver Storybooks as stocking stuffer presents in the 70s. I am 46.

Also, I recall making Lifesaver Roll dolls as Christmas Ornaments to give to my grandparents (ugly...yarn and maybe five or six full and half size rolls to make doll?)

Christmas Glass candies, in assorted favors. Hard candy always displayed in glass candy dish.

- Tootsie Rolls
- Dum Dum lollipops (only people who buy these are grandparents and dry cleaner owners and bank managers)

Yes to the lifesaver books, and the ornaments. My.mom gave me a bunch of our childhood ornaments, and one of the Lifesaver roll dolls was in there. I put in on our tree every year!

I buy a bag of Dum Dums every once in a while for my kid. We taped them to his Valentines this year.

My grandparents always have spearmint gummy leaves, After Eight chocolate covered mints, butter mints, and Hershey nuggets with toffee.

I am likely “old” by DCUM standards. Some of the candies listed I like, others I don’t.

When I was young, we used to enjoy atomic fireballs, the necklace candy (I would never eat that today), sweetarts, hot tamales, and, not really candy - but the liquid things that came in wax “pop” bottles. We also liked MaryJanes, candy cigars and cigarettes, My favorite candy bar was Baby Ruth.
