Subject: Place to buy nice Valentine cards for the class?
We are not allowed to give out candy with my 2nd grader's Valentines, but I did notice in general kids tend to rip the candy off, eat that, toss or lose the card, and only keep/bring home cards from close friends or a cute boy they really like.

I get them from oriental Trading! They have cute ones and ones without candy (our school discourages candy because the kids get a lot at the party)

If your kids like making them, get them rubber stamps and a few ink pads--a stamp with their name then maybe happy faces or hearts or their favorite character.
They can stamp the back of cheap store bought valentines for an activity, and they can re-use the rubber stamps for other crafts, invites, thank-you notes, Christmas cards, etc.

My kids attached something to the candy saying "Happy Valentine Day - from XXX"
THey paid more attention to the candy. Ring pop was the favorite. And it did get eaten up

I actually really like this! My kid would much rather have a donut or icee than some $10 card your mom got off Etsy and a pencil...

Giving out Vday cards without candy is akin to being the grouch who hands out toothbrushes or pennies or pencils on Halloween.
