I agree. Sounds like you just want to blow this cash on a hummy, and that's not very smart. You'll look back and regret not being conservative with this windfall.

Why not invest it?
Pay off bills, maybe splurge a bit with a new car, home reno project or something.

+1. If you want to "make your money as valuable as possible" you should buy index funds. Your musing about starting a business, without any particular interests or skills, reads a lot like someone saying they want to use a one-time windfall to buy a Tesla.

+1. This is standard advice when trying out a new business - cannot quit your job until the new business replaces your salary (or at least a level you're comfy with). A friend of mine has an event planning business that I help with occasionally, and there's not a lot of money in it.

Lol well sorry to disappoint. English is most definitely my first language. English and philosophy major in college and well known for my writing abilities. I will take this feedback to heart though and put more effort into composing perfect DCUM posts while on my cell phone in bed at night!
