I wouldn't trust them with a minor either. Don't want to hijack the thread, but another really bad story about the company culture dropped yesterday.

I was a HS swimmer years ago. An older swimmer on the team used to pick me up for morning practice. It was motivating because we swam the same events. I knew if I slept in, he'd be in the pool swimming laps. It's possible one of the Juniors or Seniors would be willing to pick up your DD in exchange for some gas and spending money.

Just wanted to let you know that swim moms and dads are not alone. We were at a high school Signing Day event last week. There were 35+ boys from maybe 5 or 6 sports. Practically every single boy thanked his parents (and one guy specifically thanked his grandfather) for driving them to all their practices, meets, games and tournaments. It was nice to hear how appreciative the boys were.

My husband and I keep wondering if it is that we're in such a large metropolitan area or is it that the nature of children's sports has changed so much? I was a nationally ranked swimmer in middle school and high school and my husband was recruited for and played football in college at our Big 10 school. Neither of us remember all of this hyper dashing to and fro. It is a much different world these days!

I feel the same way and DD is in MS. She just made sectionals so we are arguing about whether or not we cancel spring break trip. The mornings dont bother me but the afternoons are a killer.I hired a driver to get her from school to the pool because there was noone to carpool with. And DH wants a long trip this summer so that will be another fight. Ive had some iffy uber drivers, so we havent gone that route yet.
