I disagree. These are the best months for the school. You can make the strongest case to red shirt or not since it is so close to the cutoff.
Generally, you don't want your child to make the cut off and end up being the YOUNGEST. They may get lower grades, lower testing scores like the Nnat, CogAT.

We have friends that chose to name their dd "Nathalie." There is not a French bone in their body. It's not a name of a relative or a character in a book they liked. Just liked the name "Natalie" and wanted to be different by throwing in the "h". Mom even joked, "She'll be doomed to a lifetime of correcting others. Tee hee!".
