Wow, some people need to be more welcoming and understanding. You guys are very prejudiced and selfish. Model good behavior and inform others of the rules courteously.
You clearly do not work out regularly in a gym nor have ever worked at one. The sudden influx of gym goers in January is obnoxious and just a huge pain in the ass to those of us who have better lifestyles all 12 months of the year
Anonymous wrote:This happens every year, OP. Every year someone who actually goes to the gym all year posts the same thing, because when something annoys you, the natural thing is to vent about it in hopes of finding like-minded people to agree, say it sucks, and then we all move on.
And every year, someone gets all pissy because they think the OP is fat-shaming.
Nobody who actually goes to the gym regularly gives a crap how much you weigh. We actually think it is awesome when people decide to make healthy changes. Inwardly, we applaud when someone decides to get in shape, lose weight, etc. We would just be happier if all of those people didn't suddenly decide to get their collective sh*t together on 1/02. We're not fat-shaming; we're cliche-shaming.
If someone who went to church 52 weeks a year made a post on Christmas saying, "damn, church was crowded today" I would post something saying, "Sorry bro, I mostly skip it but I feel the need to go on Christmas." I wouldn't jump right to "they are Christian-shaming me" or "they don't think I should be there." They're wondering where the heck I was the other 50 weeks. (I was at the gym.)

I don't like competing for space during an hour of the day that is sacred to me, so I'll sit it out for a few days and do my fitness at home. Somehow, some people read WAY too much into this and I get called a fat shamer, a bitch, and an all-around horrible person. Several of you got it, so thanks for that. I hope everyone had a great workout yesterday and has another one today.

1. Then don't read it.
2. See Item 1 above.
3. I know sanctimonious, and that wasn't even close.
I hope Jeff boots your a$$ for using profanity in this otherwise wholesome forum.

1. Nobody gives a fuck when or where you work out.
2. Since nobody gives a fuck about when or where you work out you didn't need to post anything.
3. Your post was sanctimonious and you deserved the replies you received. Next time keep it to yourself.

If it's a major issue for anyone then go at 5 am. I've never had a problem then!
