We are richer because here is the highest percentage of college educated people, especially ones with advanced degrees in the country. Not necessarily the government jobs, lots of industry. People flock here from all over America.

Agreed. The smartest and best would just find something else to do rather than live on fly over country (many of us fled to D.C. From those shitholes after college). There would not be enough educated or experienced people outside the area to effectively run the government.

Keep in mind. They almost bankrupted the auto industry and made it the rust belt because of their inability to adapt and change to the market needs. Sounds like another kind worse kind of swamp to me.

Exactly. The Federal government would have difficulty filling the rolls with educated, trained individuals who can do the jobs. And the senior officials and big donors will never agree to go to East Lansing or Waukegan.

You need only look at the State and Local government employees to see how true this is. Example:

The low-life white trash WV woman who called Michelle Obama an "ape in heels" in a public FB post. She is employed by a non-profit in Clay County which receives government funding. Her position requires a 4 year college degree and 10 years of experience. Taylor (the racist) has a HS degree and was previously a cosmetologist. LOL.
