Vice President-elect Mike Pence said he was not offended when he was booed by members of the audience while attending the musical "Hamilton" on Friday.
In an interview with "Fox News Sunday," Pence said it was a"great, great show," and a "real joy to be there."
"When we arrived we heard a few boos, we heard some cheers. I nudged my kids and said, 'That's what freedom sounds like,'" Pence said.
At least one of them gets it.
I abhor Trump, and have a major side eye to Pence just on the basis of disagreeing with his political stance on almost everything, but standing ovation to him for this, truly. That is the appropriate response from the White House to this incident.
+1 !!!
So it's come to this...standing ovation because one person in the new administration knows how to be a grown up. This isn't standing ovation behavior. This is a basic talking point that anyone who staffs anyone in Washongton would know how to write. It's just that the new "normal" is so awful-whenever anyone is able to rise above a Twitter war we are all astounded.

It's not just the words; it's also the way he handled himself. There are many politicians who wouldn't have been as confident and patient with the childish rudeness that was displayed towards him with his family in a public place.
+1. And I can guarantee you if something similar happened to President Obama coming from a right-winger on stage (unlikely for an actor, but let's suspend disbelief for a minute) ranting about big government policies and the fear that Obama's going to take his guns, begging him not to expand executive power or whatever, the left would be up in arms.
At the end of the day, he's a politician so shouldn't be and wasn't apparently surprised, but let's not pretend Democrats wouldn't be losing their minds if this happened to the president.

2 daughters and a son
His kids are young adults. They will be fine. Or are they fragile snowflakes?
His youngest daughter actually describes herself as a liberal. I'm sure he gets an earful from her.
Are you trying to find excuses for a complete lack of decency?
Sweetie, the decency train left the station a long time ago. Right around the time Trump called McCain a loser who "got caught."
GTFO with your faux, shitty morals.
Somehow I doubt McCain would endorse the idea of booing Pence in front of his children for basically daring a win a democratic election...
Sweetie, perhaps you need to go to Sunday school to understand what decency means?
You really think they won? Okay.
