Yes. High level STEM usually doesn't allow high level.sports. Not enough hours in the week. Sure many try but....

There is no "better," any more than Audi is "better" than BMW or Burgundy is "better" than Bordeaux. Visit the schools you're interested in and ask about strengths and weaknesses of the programs that are important to you. Both admission directors are great and very candid. But keep your eye on the ball: Your daughter will be great if she works hard in a field she loves; if she doesn't do well, Holton or Cathedral sure won't be the limiting factor! There are many more successful scientists who didn't go to MIT than who did.

Nowhere in the original post did the OP assume that her DD will get into both. She is just researching both schools and what resulted is a lot of info from both NCS and Holton parents which is helpful for parents looking at both schools. Relax.
