NP. If there is air space in my plastic container, i put a piece of plastic wrap flat on the exposed food. Never get freezer burn.

I stipped cooking dinner for DH because he claimed he ate his packed lunch on the way home from work, because he was so busy, and I often ended up eating 2 steaks or pieces of chicken over a couple of days.

It became that feeding himself was his issue and I had to let go of my angst over the food and money lost.

Take care of yourself, don't get caught up over your husband's shit.

OP, it sounds like you and the toddler should just plan to have dinner together at night after you get home from work, and let your DH eat like a glutton with the boys at lunch when he feels peer pressured into it. Ugh. He might come around when he can't fit into his clothes anymore.

Even if you got him to adhere to your plan, he'd be resentful doing it. Does he also tell you what and where to eat for your meals?

Do you really want to control every freaking aspect of your DH's life? Stay out of HIS lunch plans. Get over it that you have a leftover prepackaged lunch you bought at the grocery store. Life is to short for this.

We had this situation when DH took a job where all of his colleagues went to lunch together every day. We would buy enough salad stuff to pack 10 salads in a week and half of it would end up going to waste. Drove me crazy. Finally we just agreed that we would buy enough for my lunches and he would eat out.

Him bailing on you for dinner is messed up though. He should at least offer to join you at the restaurant so you can enjoy the meal you've earned by following your plan all week!
