I find online dating exhausting, but it seems like the only game in town. So I've kind of given up. I have sole custody of my three kids, so I have little time to casually socialize, but definitely enjoy adult company. And I would eventually like to be in a relationship again. My kids are teenagers, so while they keep me busy, I don't have to pay for sitters and I have a bit more flexibility in my schedule. I've been on lots of first and second dates and I've definitely honed my instincts. One guy recently popped back into my orbit, and we hit it off immediately and had a few great dates and lots of phone/texts/emails. But then he turned and ran just as quickly. (no, no sex involved, although we were headed that way). He reminded me of a high-school boy. So yeah, I'm too old for those games, and totally done for a while.

I'm attractive, fun, smart, make my own way, but I don't think I'm cut out for this game playing. Ugh.
