Not true. MD does not have the car tax, but the cars are the same price as in VA
MD sales (excise) tax is higher than VA.
So if you keep your old super reliable Toyota or Honda got years, or decades, instead of selling it, you come out ahead.

Love my 2006 Scion xB. 130K, original clutch and cheap to maintain, maybe a few hundred a year
