I think it's the oil OP. I feel the same queasy feeling after eating Cheetos which use a similar deep fry method.

My 10 year old is the same way. She can and will eat every other sweet under the sun except for donuts.

Happened to me when I had gallbladder disease due to the higher fat.

Interesting. I love donuts but if I eat one I am burping doughnut for the rest of the day absolutely.

Have you tested your A1C and blood sugar?

My Type I Diabetic, who loves dessert would refuse to eat them leading up to his hospitalization because he was getting sick to his stomach from the high blood sugar.

OP, doughnuts are fried food, not baked food.

Bakery donuts make me sick, wondered too, if it was the oil, but no other fried rolls make me sick. I can eat homemade donuts, or those Engevist on occasion.

I am okay with most donuts but cannot handle eating warm donuts - especially from Fractured Prune. Everyone loves their donuts but I remember going there one morning after a lifeguard workout at the beach and getting a donut with my co-workers - I got SO sick I haven't been able to eat one since.

If I eat them first thing in the day, I feel sick if I eat just one. But later I am fine. For me it is the sugar/ grease combo on an empty stomach. My husband once made them at home in a fryer. It was only then I realized how much fat is absorbed by them during the cooking process.
