Overall budget for dress or wedding?
My dress was $400. This was 10 years ago. Overall wedding budget was $15K.

I think around $3000. It was a gorgeous lace gown by Junko Yoshioka, bought at Carine's Bridal in DC. It was worn by a bride in an episode of How I Met Your Mother (not one of the main characters), but I can't figure out how to copy and paste the image here.
Total budget was $30,000 for a very small wedding.

$1k high-end designer sample sale (may have been closer to $1500??)
$50k (not including rehearsal dinner or honeymoon, which we also paid for)

$50. It was on sale and off the rack, and needed minimal fitting. It was between that one and one also on sale for $1500. The $50 fit better and was prettier.
Dress budget was around $3000; wedding budget was $30k.
