A neighbor asked us if we were having money problems when he found out we were moving out of McLean but staying in the area.
I've lived in DC, Arlington, Falls Church, Vienna and McLean, and McLean was by far the best in terms of overall convenience and schools, so people do tend to stick around. Although I'd never ask or make suggestions about a neighbor's finances if they said they were moving - that's just plain tacky.
