It should matter to everyone. Stop with the blaming. If you must, you must. HOWEVER there are non-partisan, commonsense rules that need to be changed.

You mean like the North Carolina legislators who specifically designed their voter ID program to disenfranchise minorities? The ones who were so blatantly racist that they were excoriated by a judge in the opinion striking down their law? Those kinds of ethics?

A pp cited the attempt to restore voting rights to felons who had completed their sentence in VA. Since another PP brought up Washington State I'll use them as an example. Per https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/Voter-Eligibility.aspx, if you were convicted of a felony and have been released, your eligibility to vote is restored, but you must re-register. So, unlike that scurrilous VA governor who was trying to reintegrate felons back into society, WA does it automatically.

All they have to do is to check the box that they are citizens. No verification needed. That is why we need some type of proof--which if you are naturalized should not be hard to locate.

I've heard it before too. And I've heard it denied on various media.

But hearing it from my friend, and this friend is trustworthy, I now fully believe it's possible. It makes sense bc in many states and localities you just walk up and say your name.

Also, not when my friend who is from Chicago (no longer resides there), told me the study of his mom's surprise last year when she showed up to vote. And enrolled next to her is her recently deceased husband. That's fine. But there is a check mark next to his name, as they check her name off. How did her husband vote? I guess she should be surprised he came back from the dead for Election Day!


I am not surprised. I heard a similar story from someone in New Jersey. ACORN is notorious for voter registration fraud.

The Turkish kid who killed five people in a mall in the northwest (Oregon or Washington?) was not a citizen. He had voted three times already.

In some states and localities (I believe all if Washington state), they do not verify citizenship when you register to vote. That's one example.
